MarTech Watch: AI Video Tools I'm Using
InVideo, Audials, Descript, Synethesia
This week I wanted to quickly share some of the top new AI video tools I’m using and liking so far. Most of these are names that were not on my radar 3 months ago… so hopefully you can add a new tool to your stack from this.
But first, a word from our sponsor of this week’s edition…
The secret to growing on LinkedIn in 2024
The secret to growing on LinkedIn in 2024
There's a rising demand for high-quality video content on LinkedIn. This presents a major opportunity for brands (and thought leaders) ready to step in.
Here’s how you can capitalize:
Grab your company's existing video assets, like interviews or webinars
Generate dozens of clips using OpusClip
Schedule your whole month’s worth of video clips on LI using our new Calendar feature
Reply to comments on your videos to foster your new connections

AI Video Tools I’m Trying (and Liking)
This week I’ve been seeing how can “repurpose” our video content as it’s typically more expensive to produce.
AI is changing this!
I’m not ready to hand over my entire video strategy to auto-generated AI “miracle” tools, but these are some tools that are making the process of producing video content less resource intensive:
InVideo: InVideo wasn’t always an AI-first tool, but they’ve revamped their entire product to be AI-centric. InVideo can generate scripts, create scenes, add voiceovers, and adjust video based on specific prompts. A game changer if you can refine it.
Audials: If you’ve ever wanted to a take a substantively great raw video and make it better by sharpening, smoothing, and adding vibrancy, Audials is laser focused on this specific use case. I love how they just do one thing, really, really well as opposed to offering “me too” features.
Descript: Descript is focused squarely on the podcast market, but not just the audio portion… Most podcasters are now ALSO recording video while they go and re-purposing this content for YouTube, etc… Descript puts it all under one roof and offers easy AI editing for videos and podcasts, while also including an excellent screen recording tool, transcription software, and a content clip generator. This is one where you can probably save money by streamlining into their platform.
Synthesia.io: Synsthesia is a bit mind blowing it it’s capabilities, with a simple text to video generator that quickly generates videos with AI avatars that are scarily lifelike. You can pick from over 160 avatars (as of this writing) and skip the need for actors.
And, don’t forget our sponsor this week (Opus Clip) that makes it easy to generate viral, shareable clips from long form video:

I’m going to start tracking some of the resources / newsletters I pay attention to regularly here:
Trends by Hubspot Media: A great source for deep dives on business ideas from trending topics.
Big Desk Energy: More trends & insights, but more from the startup / VC / silicon valley side.
Ultimate Tools: Highlights new tools in martech, similar to what I do here, but no trends analysis, tool break downs.
That’s it for this week, I’ll be back with in a couple weeks with some more deep dives.
